Birdwatching half day Pier
of IJmuiden,
The pier of IJmuiden
is situated north-west of Amsterdam and the number one spot to search
for sea- and shorebirds when you are in the Netherlands. We will scan
the sea for passing birds and keep also an eye on the pier itself for
resting migratory birds.
When looking at the sea it is always difficult
to predict the birds you are going to see, due to weather, season and
some luck. Regular specialties are: Norhern Gannet, Common Scoter,
Purple Sandpiper, Rock Pipit, Red-throated Loon, Snow Bunting, European
Shag, Razor Bil.
