Friesland is
a province in the north of the Netherlands. It is a very
good birding destination. The route is flexibel (personal
request, time of year etc. ) During the winter you Great
Bittern is more easy to find and off course in the
spring for example the Bluethroat is present.
'The Northern coast of
Friesland is goof for breeding and migrating large
numbers of waders. In the area of
Fochteloërveen is the only Common Crane breeding couple
present. Every winter you will find here Northern
Shrikes.
The 'Brandenmeer' is a wetland area with birds
like Black Tern, Grat Bittern and Purple Heron. The
coast of the IJsselmeer holds many duck and goose
species. If you are looking for Goose: this is your birding tour, in Friesland you
will find many species during the winter months.
