Birdwatching day tour dunes
& grasslands,
The area we will go
birding will be in the Haarlem and IJmuiden area. This area is situated
on the west side of Amsterdam.The Dunes west of Amsterdam are part of a
nature reserve that offers great birdwatching. You can find here birds
like: Hobby, Rufous Nightingale, Grasshopper Warbler, Common Redstart,
Northern Wheatear and many others.
We also visit the surrounding typical Dutch grasslands to find Sky Lark,
Black Tailed Godwitt and other waders. In spring we can combine this
tour with a drive through the famous bulb fields of the Netherlands.
You can also find many windmilss in this area. A visit to the pier of IJmuiden to look for sea-and shorebirds is also
possible.
Practical
information
Duration: 8 hours for a day tour and 4
hours for a half day tour, depends on season,weather
and sightnings, and personal wishes.
Depart and return time: usually around 8:00 until 16:00
and around 12:00 during half day tours,
but variable(personal wishes, season, sightnings and weather)
Where we meet: When travelling with your own (rental) car,
we will meet at a convienient place near the highway close to
Haarlem. When coming with public transport we will meet at a
train station Haarlem.

Lunch: We
offer a optional lunch of bread and soup for 7,50 euro per
person.
What is included: coffee, tea, drinks, snacks as much as
you like, a handy checklist of the birds of the area, the use of
a high end spottingscope, transfers from train station Haarlem.

Private tours: All our birding tours are private tours. The day schedule can be customized to your wishes. Occasionally it is possible that more parties have booked a tour at the same date. In that case we try to combine these birding tours and give you discount of 25%.
